Don’t miss the chance to volunteer with the Optimist Club of St. Louis and make a difference in the community. Whether it’s spreading holiday cheer, distributing holiday baskets, or fundraising for Old Newsboys, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and make an impact.

Right around the corner is Old Newsboys Day! Old Newsboys Day is November 16, 2023. Every year the Optimist Club of St. Louis volunteers to help fundraise for Old Newsboys. Come out and help us sell some papers. Contact Us for more information.

The Optimist Club of St. Louis has some exciting volunteering events in December as well that you don’t want to miss! On December 14, 2023, the club will be volunteering at City Academy with Santa. The event will allow children to take photos with Santa and take home a memorable photograph. It’s a great opportunity to get in the holiday spirit and spread some joy to the children in the community.

Another event that the Optimist Club of St. Louis will be hosting is the annual Holiday Basket event on December 9th. This year, the Youth and Family Center will be hosting the event, where over 350 holiday baskets will be made to distribute to the St. Louis community. Each basket will contain essential holiday items such as bread, stuffing, broth stock, canned vegetables, fruit, potatoes, gravy, and a gift card to Schnucks. To make this event successful, the club shops for weeks prior and then distributes the baskets on December 9th.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact the club to find out how you can help.
