Optimist Club of St. Louis Hosts Joe Hatfield Junior Golf Chair for an information session for Club Members and any Members of the community interested in having the Optimist Club of St. Louis sponsor a youth for the 2024 Junior Golf Championships – Official EMO District Qualifying Tournament.
The Optimist Junior Golf Program is an exciting and unique junior golf program for ages 10-18.
One of the largest and well-renowned junior golf tournaments in the world.
If you know a Junior Golfer interested in having the Optimist Club of St. Louis sponsor them please have them and a parent and/or guardian attend this meeting session. We will sponsor a Junior Golfer within the St. Louis County and surrounding areas.

About: The Optimist Junior Golf Programis an exciting and unique junior golf program for ages 10-18. Boys and girls around the world compete in official Optimist qualifying tournaments. The best of these golfers advance to the annual Optimist International Junior Golf Championships. Commonly referred to as simply “The Optimist”. The Optimist International Junior Golf Championship is one of the largest and most prestigious junior golf events in the world. In addition to top-level tournament golf, participants have the opportunity to compete against other Junior Golfers from all around the globe, make new friends and have a great deal of fun. Each year, more than 660 junior golfers from 30 countries participate in The Optimist. The Optimist Junior Golf Championship also attracts over 30 College coaches each year and is ranked by JuniorGolf Scoreboard, Golfweek, Amateur World and receives AJGA Performance Based Stars. How to get Optimist Club of St. Louis to sponsor.Apply to have Optimist Club of St. Louis sponsor a junior golfer enter the EMO District Qualifying Tournament for the Optimist International on June 7, 2024, 8:30 – 11:30 AM at Ste. Genevieve Golf Club – Ste. Genevieve Golf Club, 17450 Clubhouse Ct. Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670 If your application is approved, the Optimist Club of St. Louis will cover your application fee for the East Missouri Junior Golf Tournament. The East Missouri District provides financial support for winners in the top age group for Boys and Girls, to attend the international championships. If either winners are sponsored by the Optimist Club of St. Louis, they will receive additional financial support for themselves and 1 attendee (must be a parent or legal guardian) to attend the Junior Golf Tournament. |

Golfers selected receive an exemption into the 2024 Optimist Championship, tournament entry which includes golf, hotel accommodations and meals plus a $1,000.00 scholarship. |
