JOI Club Sponorship
THE OPTIMIST CLUB OF ST. LOUIS JOI INITATIVE
The Optimist Club of St. Louis is devoted to “Bringing out the Best in Youth” in the St. Louis community. Optimist Clubs around the world conduct 65,000 community service projects each year, spending $78 million in their communities. Six million kids are positively affected by Optimist programs.
The Optimist Club of St. Louis was chartered on September 8, 1916, and is part of Optimist International. However, the Optimist Club of St. Louis maintains its schedule of activities and its charitable disbursements independently from Optimist International headquartered in St. Louis.
Purpose: To build and support Junior Optimist International (JOI) Youth Clubs within the community of St. Louis through sponsorship funding.
Funding: Thanks to the Youth Work Fund Foundation and Club Board approval of $5,000 towards the formation and sponsorship of Junior Optimist International (JOI), within the community of St. Louis. *Optimist International East Missouri District Zone(s)
JOI Funding Guidelines
All Junior Optimist Clubs do their part through community service programs.
Since each JOI Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Junior Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their community in any way they see fit.
The Optimist Club of St. Louis welcomes applications for funding from St. Louis-area not-for-profit organizations and *Optimist International East Missouri District Zone(s) Clubs benefiting children and youth in the areas of education and health care.
