Bring out the best in kids
In 1919, the Optimist Club of St. Louis joined with similar clubs from other cities to form Optimist International. Today, Optimist International is a network of local service clubs meeting the diverse needs of youth in their communities throughout North America and the Caribbean. While each club has a local focus, Optimist Clubs share a single common Mission and Creed.
The Optimist Mission- By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.
The Optimist Creed, adopted by Optimist International in 1922, reminds Optimists of how the Mission is to be carried out in our daily lives. Members of the Optimist Club of St. Louis recite this Optimist Creed at the conclusion of each meeting.
